Seven months out from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Dallas has opened the FIFA World Cup 2026 Volunteer Center.
The center is inside the Food and Fiber Pavilion in Dallas' Fair Park so it will be familiar to those who go inside.
"Today marks the beginning of a journey for many possible volunteers," Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Moreno said. "With those selected becoming official ambassadors for our great city."
15,000 applicants are expected to attend the volunteer tryouts.
That number will be narrowed down to 6,100 volunteers for the North Texas region. The number is the second-largest for any Host City.
Volunteers will eventually be placed in various positions throughout the duration of the World Cup.
Dallas is home to the International Broadcast Center which will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Downtown Dallas.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host nine matches including a semi-final. That is more matches than any other Host City in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
