The Dallas Police Department is warning some residents that they will be destroying the pyrotechnics that were to have been used Sunday, the last day of the Wings Over Dallas Air Show at Dallas Executive Airport.

That final day was canceled because of the tragic mid-air collision that killed six people on Saturday.

Officials say the unused ordnance must be destroyed and the Dallas Police Explosive Ordnance Squad will be doing that today at 10 a.m. at the Dallas Police Shooting Range near Mountain Creek Lake.

Police say anyone in the area near Kiest and Mountain Creek Parkway is likely to hear explosions about every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
