With temperatures soaring into the upper 90s, zoo officials are urging guests to skip the traffic and stress - hop on the DART Red Line, which drops riders right at the front gate, and enjoy a cooler, quicker trip to see the wildlife.

From the Dallas Zoo:

☀ We host these days in the summer so the kids are out of school and families can enjoy — but summer usually means HOT weather!

☀ Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen and bring your favorite refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. There are water refill stations located within the Zoo for your use.

Meanwhile, misting fans and water refill stations are in full effect inside, and families are being reminded to lather on sunscreen and stay hydrated as they brave the midday heat and bustling pathways.
