The defense made its case Monday in the capital murder trial of Yaser Said of Lewisville. Closing arguments will begin Tuesday.

Said, accused of murdering his two teenage daughters in 2008, testified in his own defense on Monday. The defense has attempted to show that, while there were other people who could have been considered suspects in the murders of Amina and Sarah Said, police ignored them and concentrated on one suspect - Yaser Said.

The final evidence the state presented Friday was autopsies of the two victims. Dr. Janis Townsend-Parchman said Sarah had been shot nine times at close range. Amina had been shot twice.

The jury is expected to get the case Tuesday.
