The Denton Fire Department is showing off its new fire truck with a Mean Green paint job.
The truck was unveiled last night during the city's Downtown Victory Fest to celebrate the University of North Texas' record-breaking basketball season and championship in the 2023 NIT.
The fire engine is painted UNT green with the university's flag, the school's eagle logo and a green back-lighted "Mean Green" on the front and back bumpers. It has the capacity of playing the UNT fight song on its horn system.
The men's basketball team arrived on the fire engine which UNT donated to the city.
