There are many different things that can frustrate someone during air travel. Whether it’s getting to the airport, going through security, the actual flight or waiting for bags at the destination, there is something that can go wrong and ruin a traveler’s day. Luckily DFW International Airport recently announced plans to make one aspect of travel a little easier. The North Texas airport revealed plans to reopen one of their remote parking lots in May.

With a spike in air travel expected during the summer, DFW International Airport announced they will reopen the south remote economy parking lot that has been closed since April 2020. The 2,154-spot lot is one of the airports cheapest parking options at $10 per day. “We are trying to give customers what they are asking for. Through social media, through phone calls and emails, customers are asking for the remote lots to reopen because they want economy rates back,” said the airport’s vice president of parking Dean Ahmad.

According to Dallas Morning News, the DFW International Airport doesn’t plan on reopening up the larger remote parking lot on the north side of the airport until 2023. Still, with demand steadily increasing, travelers will soon have more parking options at the airport. At least that’s one less thing to yell and scream about.
