A man is in the hospital after running a red light in southwest Dallas overnight.
The guy's SUV slammed into a Dallas police car, crashing into the cruiser's passenger side quarter panel.
Neither the two officers inside were hurt but the suspected drunk-driver was taken to the hospital to get checked out.
Just past 11 p.m. the SUV blew through the red light on Wheatland Road right at the I-20 service road.
