One man is locked up and one person is in the hospital because of gunfire in uptown Dallas early this morning.
The first 911 calls came in to Dallas Police just before 2:30 a.m. and police quickly rolled to an address on McKinney Avenue about a block north of Routh Street.
Reports say they found a chaotic scene with many people milling about and one person wounded. That victim is believed to be an innocent person caught in the line of fire and was taken to the hospital.
The suspected shooter was still at the scene and was quickly taken into custody.
Crime scene investigators spent the rest of the morning on-site collecting evidence including a number of spent shell casings littering McKinney Avenue.
