Heads continue to roll two weeks after the catastrophic power grid failure that crippled Texas last month.

Last night, the ERCOT board of directors met and voted 6 to 1 to fire CEO Bill Magness.

However, Magness was given a two-month notice during which time he will remain in place to "work with state leaders and regulators on potential reforms to ERCOT."

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been open about his dissatisfaction with how the blackouts were handled and has even accused ERCOT of misleading the state about the readiness of the grid.

Magness has been the target of a lot of criticism, but during legislative hearings last week he defended actions that he says protected the integrity of the system.

At least six other ERCOT board members have stepped down recently.

Earlier this week, the chairwoman of the Public Utility Commission was also forced out. That's on top of a half dozen ERCOT board members who resigned in the immediate days after the state-wide power failure.
