A crash on the road leading to Terminal A at DFW Airport led to backups Monday night. DFW Airport says two cars were in a minor wreck at the exit to Terminal A, leading to a backup in the area.

The airport urged passengers to allow extra time because of the traffic volume. Passengers were also encouraged to be dropped off or picked up at a different terminal and then use SkyLink to reach Terminal A.

Some reports on social media suggested an Uber driver had hit and killed a pedestrian. The airport has confirmed that was not the case. Instead, DFW Airport says two cars were involved, and no one was hurt or killed.

DFW Airport says its Department of Public Safety was directing traffic and clearing the crash Monday night.

Tuesday morning, all traffic at DFW Airport had returned to normal.

Editor's note:  We had previously reported that social media reports suggested this was a fatal auto-pedestrian accident. This is not factual and we apologize for any confusion the report may have created.
