Street racing is being blamed for a deadly crash in Arlington.
A 30-year-old man was trying to turn left onto Green Oaks Boulevard from Lee Street when he was T-boned by a woman driving a Porsche. The force of the crash sent the man into a light pole.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 20-year-old woman in the passenger seat is hospitalized in critical condition.
Tim Ciesco with Arlington Police says the woman driving the Porsche, 45-year-old Priscilla Rodriguez, was racing another vehicle at the time. They believe she was driving at about 80 miles per hour at the time. The posted limit on that stretch of road is 45.
The driver of the other vehicle is still on the loose.
