North Richland Hills (1080 KRLD) - An adult male has been transported to an area hospital in serious condition after a single-vehicle crash.
At 5:45 p.m., dispatch received a call regarding a vehicle that had crashed near a residence in the 4600 block of Cummings Drive.
Officers arrived on the scene and located a two-door car completely engulfed in flames.
A male victim, with extensive burn injuries, was located nearby and transported by North Richland Hills Fire personnel via ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He is listed in serious condition.
At this time, it is unknown why the vehicle lost control before the crash, and accident investigators have been called to the scene. There were no additional reported injuries and no reported damage to the home.
