The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, which represents flight attendants with American Airlines, has issued a vote of no confidence against American's CEO.
Paul Hartshorn with the APFA says this comes as recent rankings put American lower and lower compared to its competitors.
"These aren't abstract rankings. These are reflective of a company that's losing ground, we're losing relevance," Hartshorn said. "We're risking careers of the flight attendants and the employees of American Airlines. Enough is enough."
In response, American directed us to a recent earnings call from CEO Robert Isom where he said how incredibly excited he is about what lies ahead for the airline.
Hartshorn says they want to see a CEO with real accountability, to pivot, and to course correct.
"You can look at any metric," Hartshorn said.
"We are not competitive with United and Delta anymore and it needs to be fixed."
