Police in Richardson have arrested a man wanted in connection with a burglary at a mosque in Flower Mound. Muhammad S. Khan, age 36, is charged with three felony counts of burglary of a building.

Someone broke into the Masjid-Al-Noor Islamic School and Mosque on Peters Colony Road in Flower Mound on February 13th. Police say the suspect stole donations that were intended for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. They used surveillance camera video from the building to help them identify Khan as the suspect. They also identified his vehicle, a white SUV with Virginia license plates, as the one used in the burglary.

Investigators say that vehicle was detected by the automatic license plate scanner network deployed in Richardson by the Richardson Police Department. Officers there were notified and one pulled Khan over and arrested him.

Khan has been booked into the Denton County Jail. Bond has been set at $10,000 on one of the three charges and police say he is awaiting arraignment on the other two charges.
