It was a "not guilty" verdict for the Boeing test pilot accused of deceiving the FAA while he worked on the 737 MAX program.

Keller resident Mark Forkner was tried on federal charges in Fort Worth this week, accused of misleading federal regulators about the level of training pilots would require to fly the then-new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. That was before two crashes that killed hundreds of people.

The deadly crashes and the grounding of the planes for 20 months put Forkner's work under the microscope.

Prosecutors accused him of underestimating the training required to save Boeing a lot of money, about a million dollars per plane, according to reports.

The Fort Worth jury heard it all and then deliberated for less than two hours on Wednesday before coming back with the verdict.
