Prestonwood Christian Academy has added a sometimes controversial college football coach to its athletics department administration.

Todd Graham has a long pedigree in college coaching with high-profile stops at West Virginia, Tulsa, Rice, Pittsburgh, Arizona State, and most recently Hawaii. But there he ran into a buzzsaw of criticism from players and administrators.

After the 2021 season, multiple Hawaii players claimed they had been mistreated by Graham. Then followed a stream of at least 17 players entering the NCAA transfer portal including Graham's own son.

The transfers led to a meeting by the Hawaii State Senate inquiring about the issue on January 7th in 2022 during which some players testified, claiming they had been subjected to verbal abuse. One week later, after completing just two years of his five-year contract, Graham resigned.

Now, Graham has been named Prestonwood's senior director of PCA System development and athletics. Graham grew up in North Texas, graduating from North Mesquite High School in 1983.

Before moving to the college ranks he was an assistant coach at Mesquite Poteet and later the head coach at Allen High School from 1995 to 2000.
