Fort Worth castle hits the auction block with bids expected at $11.75 million

A 19,000-square-foot castle in west Fort Worth is headed to auction next month, offering one of the region’s most unusual luxury properties to the highest bidder.

The estate, located at 9553 Bella Terra Drive in the gated Montserrat community, is also listed for $11.75 million.

Built in 2006 for Texas Rangers co-owner Bob Simpson, the seven-bedroom home sits on more than two acres and includes indoor and outdoor pools, a private pond, a sports court, guest quarters and multiple entertainment spaces.

Inside, the home features stone arches, ornate ceilings, a climate-controlled wine room, a theater, a gym and a master suite added after the original construction.

Concierge Auctions will open bidding on December 3, with the final round set for December 18. The property is one of two castle-style estates currently on the market in Fort Worth.
