Just days after TCU students asked for more security following several reports of someone trying to break into homes, police announced an arrest.
Earlier this week, Fort Worth police along with TCU campus police, issued a safety bulletin telling students living in the area of campus to lock their doors and report anything suspicious.
Fort Worth police say they have arrested 25-year-old Alex Alvarez days after getting a call about two people who tried to break into a home on Sandage Avenue.
A person living nearby gave police security camera footage and that led them to Alvarez.
Alvarez is currently being held without bond on two charges, including burglary of a habitation and unlicensed possession of a firearm by a felon.
