Fort Worth police say they have the car, now they're looking for the driver who hit a child in Fort Worth Monday night, and just kept going.
Fort Worth officials say the 4-year-old who was hit is recovering, her injuries are not life threatening.
Police say the little girl was hit in a neighborhood near Highway 287 and Mitchell Road in southeast Fort Worth. The driver never stopped but police were able to get the license plate from witnesses at the scene.
Reports say the vehicle was later located in south Fort Worth and has been impounded.
The search for the driver continues. Police say the know who they are looking for, and they hope to make an arrest soon.
