THE COLONY (1080 KRLD)- A wind-whipped four-alarm fire has done heavy damage to a home in The Colony Monday morning.
Firefighters got word of the fire about 2 a.m. and rushed to the home on Gibson Drive near North Colony Boulevard and Main Street Because of winds gusting up to nearly 25 mile-an-hour at the time, the flames spread to some neighboring homes.
Commanders called in help from Lewisville and Carrollton and got the fire knocked down with nobody getting hurt. The damage is very heavy but once the burned-over area cools down, investigators can get in to look for the cause.
