A Frisco man was sentenced to the maximum 20 years in prison for stalking a Collin County woman in 2024, authorities announced.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said Robert Bevers, 40, had also targeted four other women dating back to 2016. Evidence presented at a two-day punishment hearing showed Bevers repeatedly harassed women he had never met, sending unwanted messages, gifts and making repeated in-person contacts.

The stalking case began in 2022 when a 27-year-old Frisco woman found unsolicited gifts left on her porch and captured Bevers’s car circling her home on surveillance cameras. Despite obtaining a civil protective order, Bevers resumed contact in 2024 with increasingly sexual and racist messages, prompting a felony stalking investigation by Frisco Police.

Bevers was arrested on April 29, 2024, and a Collin County jury found him guilty of third-degree felony stalking in October 2025. Because prosecutors proved prior convictions and his history of harassing multiple women, Judge Kim Laseter sentenced him to 20 years in prison and imposed a $10,000 fine.

Court records also showed Bevers had a troubled past, including juvenile commitment to the Texas Youth Commission and a five-year prison term for aggravated assault against his grandmother. One victim urged the court to impose the maximum sentence so the group of women could have “a moment of peace.”

“Serial stalkers like this destroy their victims’ peace of mind,” said Willis. “My office exists to protect the people of Collin County, and that protection includes making sure those who prey on women face the full weight of the law.”
