In the Fort Worth school district, a $1.2 billion bond issue is still limbo, three days after election day.
Ballot Proposition "A" would pay for four new elementary schools and for major renovations at district middle schools.

When the dust settled Tuesday night, the proposition had passed by just 42 votes out of nearly 25,000 cast. So now, all eyes are on the absentee and provisional ballots. Those number about 300 and are due to be counted next week.
Right now, Tarrant County Elections Administrator Heider Garcia is waiting for Monday, the deadline for ballots from US citizens who live overseas (including military) to arrive in Fort Worth.
Garcia says the counting should be completed by Tuesday or Wednesday.
