Garland Police are looking for a suspect wanted for Sexual Performance of a child out of Lubbock who fled from officers, and he may have fired on them.
Garland Police say they tried to pull over a white 2017 Chrysler 300 early this morning after a check of the license plate showed the owner had a felony warrant for sexual performance of a child.
When officers tried to stop the car the driver took off before crashing into a stop sign at Northwest Highway and Sleepy Hollow Drive.
Police say that driver fled on foot with officers following. Police say they heard gunshots, and believe the suspect was firing at them.
A DPS helicopter and K9 team both tried to find the man but he was gone.
No one was hurt and police are still in the area collecting evidence.
