Both sides are digging in as the government shutdown enters its third week with no movement over a disagreement over extending Obamacare subsidies.

Republican Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne of North Texas says the conversation over the subsidies needs to include a deeper discussion on making sure any funding goes where it needs to.

"How can we actually provide healthcare to those who don't have coverage," Congresswoman Van Duyne said. "How can we prevent the insurance companies from absolutely taking advantage to any kind of subsidies that the government gives and make sure it's going where it needs to go."

Democrats want an extension on subsidies to prevent skyrocketing premiums to be a part of the package to reopen the government.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called it a health care crisis that is looming over the American people.

Republicans say any discussion should come after the government is reopened.
