Grapevine-Colleyville ISD announced Thursday that it strengthened its anti-bullying policy ahead of the 2024-25 school year.

The district added that it implemented new language to include artificial intelligence. They said its against policy to create imagery with AI tools depicting any student engaging in any act that is pervasively vulgar or obscene.

The district is just the latest to try to deal with the ever-increasing problem of AI cyberbullying.

Earlier this year, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pushed for the passage of the Take It Down bill that would force social media platforms to take down AI imagery which is sexually explicit and meant to harm or embarrass someone.

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD sent a letter to all families asking for their partnership in these efforts.
