Many Americans are voting by mail for the first time this year and many are unsure about the process. Nearly 40 states have an official state ballot tracker, but Texas is not one of them.

The non-profit group, Vote America, built one for the Lone Star State. Debra Cleaver, founder of Vote America says go to txballot.org. There you'll be able to see if your country clerk received your ballot but it wasn't counted for some reason. "And that is why these trackers are so important. If your ballot was received and not counted, you actually have time to contact your clerk, find out what happened and then fix the issue."

She says once at the site, you can put in your voter ID number or simply your name and county. Results from the Secretary of State's office will come up.  She recommends anyone who voted by mail go to the site.  "A lot of citizens are new to voting by mail, which means a lot of election officials are new to having to process this many mail in ballot. We're seeing issues around the country. Elections administrators are just not prepared for this rapid increase in the number of people voting by mail."
