The day after gunfire from a short term rental left a Plano neighborhood shaken, some of the homeowners let the City County have it last night.

On Sunday morning reports say someone let loose with nearly a dozen gunshots from a rental property and at least one nearby home was struck by the gunfire.

Police reports say a round pierced a window and lodged in the wall of a child's playroom. That girl's mother told the Plano City Council last night her life could have completely changed if her little girl had been struck by the bullet.

Others at the meeting said theirs is a quiet neighborhood and they resent having to dodge bullets from renters who come and go. One woman said she does not feel safe in my house anymore.

Plano police were called but the renters and their party goers scattered. Police did arrest two people; identified as James Horton on drug and evading arrest charges, and Trinity Banks on a charge of interfering with the public duties of police.

Detectives say they're still investigating but cannot yet say who pulled the trigger Sunday.
