In the United States, Hispanic/Latino and Black people are at a higher risk for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. More often than not, it is attributed to longstanding social policies that have resulted in limited access to quality education and health care.
The American Heart Association wants to change that and is launching its first Hands-Only CPR campaign focused on women of color to overcome these barriers and address health inequities in historically excluded and under-resourced communities.
It's called Heroes Saving Hearts or Héroes Salvando Corazones.
