We really have to think about everyone's health... and for organizations like Meals on Wheels... staying safe in the heat is not only important for the volunteers that work to deliver food but also to the senior citizens they serve.
On Ask the Expert, Philip Gonzalez is with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, he joined the KRLD Afternoon News to discuss just how crucial their visits are. Many times their crews encounter the elderly in bleak conditions to deal with the heat. So those wellness checks are absolutely crucial to getting them the critical attention they need to stay cool during this dangerous heat wave.
