Jersey Mike's has claimed the top spot in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index for quick-service restaurants, ending Chick-fil-A's 11-year reign at the top of the annual rankings.
The New Jersey-based sub chain earned a score of 84 out of 100 in the ACSI Restaurant and Food Delivery Study 2026, based on surveys from more than 16,400 customers reflecting on their experiences between April 2025 and March 2026. Chick-fil-A scored 83, remaining strong but slipping to second place overall while still leading the chicken category.
Jersey Mike's was recognized for its food freshness, variety and value as it continues rapid growth, adding 238 net new locations in 2025 and reaching $4.2 billion in systemwide sales. The chain made its debut in the ACSI QSR rankings this year and impressed with consistent quality even while expanding.
The overall quick-service restaurant category held steady at an ACSI score of 79. Jimmy John's and Panda Express tied for third with scores of 81, followed by others including KFC and Papa Johns at 80. The study highlights how customers prioritize reliable service, menu options and perceived value amid ongoing competition in the fast-food space.
For North Texas diners, the news underscores the appeal of made-to-order subs and fresh ingredients at Jersey Mike's locations across the DFW area. The results come as the restaurant industry navigates shifting consumer preferences toward convenience and quality.
