Popular with some and not so popular with others, new bathroom and pronoun rules have been enacted by Keller school trustees.
With one abstention last night, the school board voted five-to-nothing to create a rule that district employees "shall not promote, encourage or require the use of pronouns that are inconsistent with a student's or other person's biological sex."
Another policy says that people must use the bathroom and locker room that corresponds to their gender assigned at birth.
Accommodations can be made for students including permitting the use of single-user restrooms.
