A man is behind bars after leading an early morning police chase from Fort Worth into Arlington where he was finally captured.
Reports say it all began around 2 a.m. when Fort Worth police spotted a stolen car near Brentwood Stair Road and Handley Drive. But the driver was not about to stop so he hit the gas and the chase was on, heading east on Ederville Road and then winding around into Arlington where the stolen car finally came to a halt on Lamar Boulevard near Lamar High School.
Police say the driver then bailed out and tried to hide in a nearby neighborhood. But by about 2:40 a.m. police tracked the man down on Alamo Drive with help from Arlington police and at least one police K9.
The yet-to-be identified suspect is being held on a string of charges.
