A Dallas man is locked up after his cousin died in the crossfire of a rolling shootout in North Oak Cliff.
Miguel Angel Deleon was booked into the Dallas County jail on a murder charge on Tuesday. Dallas Police say his cousin died at the hospital Monday.
According to reports, Deleon claimed Carlos Roque had been shot by gunfire coming from another vehicle on South Madison Avenue near Zang and Clarendon.
However, the investigation made it clear Roque had been shot in the head from such close range that there were powder burns near the entrance wound, indicating the fatal shot came from Deleon.
Police confiscated a pistol from Deleon and will test it to see if it matches up to the bullet that killed his cousin.
