A man is in a Fort Worth hospital and the hit-and-run driver who put him there is now behind bars.
Fort Worth police say they got the 9-1-1 call about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and the caller said a man had been run over and it looked bad. In fact, the caller thought the man might be dead.
Police and paramedics arrived and found the unidentified victim alive, but barely. He was quickly loaded aboard the ambulance on East Berry near Candace Court. He was rushed to JPS hospital and was listed in critical condition. Police believe his injuries are life-threatening.
Meanwhile, back at the scene, police were gathering clues and they found enough to track down the driver who's been arrested on a string of charges. His name has not yet been released.
