Ahead of his concert in Dallas on May 18th, rapper T-Pain has taken to social media to decry the lack of ticket sales, and question the safety of the venue he's been booked into.
In his post on TikTok, T-Pain didn't hold back on the profanity as he called out the people of Dallas after it turned out he had sold just 26% of the available tickets. He then followed this up with a tweet questioning whether the venue he is set to perform in - The Bomb Factory - was the reason.
His Tweet read: "Aight. So what I’m gathering from all the responses, is the spot they chose to put me in for my tour date in Dallas doesn’t have a super dope reputation, is that correct? Do I need to make them move the show to a different spot/city?"
A matter of hours later, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson responded, welcoming T-Pain to the city and assuring him and his fans that safety shouldn't be a concern.
Johnson Tweeted: "Dallas is the only Top 10 city in the US where violent crime fell last year and overall violent crime is down even more so far this year. So, you and your concert goers should feel safe here. Our police is great and he’s tagged if you have questions. Enjoy Big D!"
Shortly after, Johnson added "I saw you in concert at the American Airlines Center in Dallas back in the day. Glad you’re back!"
As of yet, there have been no further updates from T-Pain regarding his concert and any potential alterations.
