Matthew McConaughey is stirring up a lot of talk in Texas.
The native Texan was doing a podcast with Rania Mankarious from Crime Stoppers of Houston.
Mankarious said this to the popular actor, "Should your next leadership role ever include you running for governor of this wonderful state? We'd be very happy...but don't answer that...I'm not asking that question...(giggles)."
McConaughey replied, "I hear you. It's a true consideration."
Mankarious says it came as a complete surprise. He was on the podcast to talk about his book: Greenlights.
As far her thoughts on his possible run for governor, Mankarious says, "I do think it's something he's obviously considered. Those are his words. Whether or not it will happen, we will just have to all wait and see. I don't think it's his immediate next chapter. It could be on the horizon down the road."
