A North Texas man accused of making online threats against federal immigration officials made his first appearance before a judge on Monday.

Robert Wilson King, 35, was arrested last week in McKinney after federal prosecutors say he posted threats targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and the Secretary of Homeland Security.

According to court documents, King allegedly wrote in an online message that he would "open fire" if he saw any ICE agents in his neighborhood. He is charged with transmitting an interstate threat.

King appeared before a U.S. Magistrate Judge and is scheduled to return to court Wednesday for a detention hearing.
