The aggravating airport delays of the last week and a half appear over, at least in North Texas. According to FlightAware.com, most air carriers are back on schedule.
A statement from Southwest Airlines says delays were not just because of staffing issues, bad weather amplified the problem.
Scores of flights were canceled after storms along the East Coast. Those grounded flights created an inability to get crews to their flights in other cities. In fact, Love Field's Chris Perry says they had to stay open all night, two nights ago.
"Whenever we have a late flight arriving or a number of passengers who are going to have to stay overnight we will keep the sterile portion of the terminal open overnight. We did that a couple of nights ago," said Perry.
American Airlines is running on time, according to FlightAware. Southwest is still having some cancellation and delay issues but the company says that it is almost back on track.
