Chick-fil-A is notifying nearly 2,200 Texas customers following a cyberattack last month that compromised personal and financial data.
The chain confirmed that hackers targeted information belonging to members of its loyalty club program. The breach exposed customer names, addresses, and partial financial account information, specifically the last four digits of credit or debit cards.
The company stated that exactly 2,197 Texas residents were affected by the incident.
In response to the breach, Chick-fil-A has sent email notifications to the impacted individuals and implemented a mandatory password reset for their accounts. The company has not yet disclosed how the attackers gained access to the system or whether customers in other states were affected.
