PITTSBURGH — The 2026 NFL Draft gets underway tonight at 7 p.m. Central from Pittsburgh, and the Dallas Cowboys will select twice in the first round with the 12th and 20th overall picks.
After posting a 7-9-1 record and allowing the most points per game in the NFL last season, Dallas has made defense its clear top priority. The team enters the draft with eight total selections and pressing needs at inside linebacker, edge rusher, cornerback and safety. The 20th pick came via last year’s trade that sent All-Pro Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.
General manager Will McClay and the scouting staff have emphasized flexibility, and the Cowboys remain open to trading up, down or moving one of their first-round selections for additional Day 2 capital. Hall of Famers Tony Dorsett and Drew Pearson will announce Dallas’ first-round choices on stage.
