North Texans open wallets to not-for-profits across North Texas

North Texas Giving Day is the region’s annual online fundraising drive organized by Communities Foundation of Texas.

North Texas Giving Day

The 18th annual #NorthTexasGivingDay has officially broken last year’s record! As midnight hit on September 17, 94,700 generous North Texans stepped up to raise over $76 million for 3,300+ local nonprofits.

From education and healthcare to animal welfare and the arts, your collective support is changing lives across 25 key cause areas. Since 2009, this community has poured an incredible $788 million back into the region we love.

KRLD is proud to have been part of NTGD. Below is an interview with Richard Miles. His "Miles of Freedom" empowers, equips and educates individuals, families and communities impacted by incarceration. Its programs help people returning home from prison access employment, financial stability, community resources and the support needed to successfully rebuild their lives.

Here are a few highlights from this year's event:

  • 100% Goes to the Causes: Thanks to Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) and sponsors like Amazon, transaction and tech fees are covered—meaning every single dollar goes straight to the nonprofits.
  • Special Surprises: Presenting sponsor Amazon surprised 15 participating nonprofits with extra financial gifts to supercharge their fundraising campaigns!
  • Official Recognition: The City of Dallas officially proclaimed September 17, 2026, as North Texas Giving Day.
"North Texas Giving Day is a celebration of what makes North Texas so special—people coming together to support the causes and nonprofits that make our communities stronger."Wayne White, President & CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas

missed the midnight deadline? Generosity has no deadline! 💙

Below is another KRLD interview of a benefitting non-profit, Wild Ones DFW. They promote native landscapes through education, advocacy and collaborative action.

Yet another organization benefitting from NTGD is "Butterfly Bridge Foundation." This nonprofit dedicated to walking alongside families after the unimaginable loss of a child.

NorthTexasGivingDay.org remains open year-round as a one-stop shop to give back, support matching campaigns, and fuel the organizations making a difference every single day.

Mark your calendars for next year: September 16, 2027! 🗓️
