GAME OF THE WEEK:

ANNA (4-0, 0-0) at KAUFMAN (4-0, 0-0) - 7-4A-1 OPENER, 7:30 p.m. Friday

Yes, it's only the first week of district play in 7-4A-1, but there's a lot at stake here.  The survivor of this one remains undefeated and picks up a league win that could be very important down the road.  Anna blasted Paris North Lamar last week, 41-0.  Kaufman defeated Alvarado, 56-34.  RB Braxton Garmon ran for 219 yards and found the end zone five times.

HURST L.D. BELL (0-4, 0-1) vs. 6A #17 EULESS TRINITY (3-1, 1-0) - 7 p.m. Thursday at Arlington's Choctaw Stadium

After jumping to a 14-0 lead last week, L.D. Bell dropped its district opener to Weatherford, 28-21.  RB Emmanuel Oluwasile ran for 95 yards and 2 TDs.  Trinity has won its last two after last week's 55-20 victory over Saginaw Boswell to open district play.  RB Gary Maddox ran for 196 yards and two scores.

FORT WORTH CHISHOLM TRAIL (2-2, 0-1) at FORT WORTH PASCHAL (2-2, 0-1) - 11 a.m. Saturday

Chisholm Trail is on a two-game slide after falling to Haltom, 43-8.  RB Israel Kaloso ran for 94 yards and a touchdown.  Paschal got 139 yards and a TD from RB Chris Gee in a 50-13 loss to North Crowley.

WEATHERFORD (2-2, 1-0) at HALTOM (1-3, 1-0) - 7 p.m. Thursday

Weatherford came back for a 28-21 win over Hurst L.D. Bell in the district opener.  QB Ryan Clark ran for three touchdowns and threw for one.  Haltom found the win column for the first time this year in a 43-8 victory over FW Chisholm Trail.  RB Devan Powell ran for 191 yards and 3 TDs.

NORTH CROWLEY (3-1, 1-0) at SAGINAW BOSWELL (1-2, 0-1) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

QB Quinton Jackson (3 TD passes/TD run) led North Crowley to a 50-13 win over FW Paschal.  Boswell fell to Euless Trinity in the district opener, 55-20.  Pioneers RB Ezra Carter ran for 117 yards and a TD.

TROPHY CLUB BYRON NELSON (3-1, 0-0) at 6A #3 SOUTHLAKE CARROLL (4-0, 0-0) - 4-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Byron Nelson took its first loss last week, falling to 4-0 McKinney Boyd, 28-26.  QB Jacob Wilson threw for 319 yards and 4 TDs.  Carroll was very impressive in a 31-7 win over Arlington Martin.  Jr. RB Owen Allen ran for 161 yards and two scores.  Allen went over 4,000 rushing yards in his career (29 games).

KELLER (4-0, 0-0) at KELLER CENTRAL (2-2, 0-0) - 4-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

This is turning into a special season for the Keller Indians, who are 4-0 for the first time since 1967 after last week's 44-10 win over North Mesquite.  WR Amarion Henry had six receptions for 121 yards and 3 TDs.  Keller Central has lost its last two, including last week's 24-21 defeat to Arlington Sam Houston.  Central RB Devin Crawley ran for 106 yards and a TD.

KELLER FOSSIL RIDGE (2-2, 0-0) at NORTHWEST EATON (3-1, 0-0) - 4-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Despite 157 yards and 2 TDs from RB Landen Chambers, Fossil Ridge lost to 4-0 Little Elm, 57-21.  Eaton lost to Denton Braswell, 38-28.  RB J.B. Brown rushed for 141 yards and 2 TDs.

KELLER TIMBER CREEK (1-3, 0-0) - OFF

Timber Creek is on a bye after losing to 5A West Mesquite, 40-35.

6A #14 ALLEN (3-1, 0-0) - OFF

Allen's Eagles are on a bye after a 49-28 win over Tyler Legacy.  Soph. QB Michael Hawkins threw for 281 yards and 3 TDs.  The playoff scramble in 5-6A should be really something to watch, as every team in the district goes into league play either 4-0 or 3-1.

McKINNEY BOYD (4-0, 0-0) at DENTON BRASWELL (3-1, 0-0) - 5-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Undefeated McKinney Boyd is one of the area's great stories in the first half of the season.  They escaped with a 28-26 win over Trophy Club Byron Nelson last week when Evan Dennis returned a blocked extra point attempt for the winning score.  Braswell has won two straight.  They defeated Northwest Eaton, 38-28.  QB Keegan Byrd had 331 total yards last week, with two rushing TDs and three more through the air.

6A #4 DENTON GUYER (4-0, 0-0) at McKINNEY (3-1, 0-0) - 5-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Guyer picked up its second signature win in two weeks, defeating 6A #4 Humble Atascosita, 46-35.  Guyer forced key turnovers late in the game and got 337 passing yards and 3 TDs from QB Jackson Arnold.  McKinney beat 5A Sherman, 57-0, for its second straight win.  QB Alec Griagosian threw for 219 yards and 2 TDs.

LITTLE ELM (4-0, 0-0) at PROSPER (3-1, 0-0) - 5-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Denton Guyer and Allen may be the two favorites in this district, but this Little Elm team is dangerous.   They stayed unbeaten with a 57-21 rout of Keller Fossil Ridge.  RB Jalen Sessions ran for 124 yards and 3 TDs.  Little Elm is averaging 52.8 ppg this season.  Prosper posted a 35-7 win over 0-4 Arlington Lamar.  Eagles QB Harrison Rosar had 292 passing yards and threw for three scores.

PLANO (1-2, 0-0) at COPPELL (1-2, 0-0) - 6-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.

FLOWER MOUND (1-2, 0-0) at FLOWER MOUND MARCUS (2-1, 0-0) - 6-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.  Marcus won this rivalry game by a 55-14 count last year.  The Marauders hold a 9-8 edge in the series since 2004.

PLANO WEST (2-1, 0-0) at 6A #22 LEWISVILLE (3-0, 0-0) - 6-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.

PLANO EAST (1-2, 0-0) at HEBRON (0-3, 0-0) - 6-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.

DALLAS JESUIT (2-1, 0-0) at RICHARDSON PEARCE (0-3, 0-0) - 7-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

RICHARDSON BERKNER (0-4, 0-1) at IRVING (1-2, 0-0) - 7 p.m. Friday

Berkner's Rams opened district play with a 52-0 loss to Lake Highlands.  Irving was off last week.  This is the district opener for the Tigers.

IRVING MacARTHUR (1-2, 0-0) at LAKE HIGHLANDS (4-0, 1-0) - 7 p.m. Friday

Lake Highlands opened defense of its district title with a 52-0 win over Berkner.  RB Noelle Whitehead ran for 111 yards and 3 TDs.  This is the district opener for MacArthur, which was off last week.

RICHARDSON (1-2, 0-0) at IRVING NIMITZ (1-2, 0-0) - 7-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Thursday

6A #16 ARLINGTON MARTIN (2-2, 0-0) at ARLINGTON (1-3, 0-0) - 8-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Martin finished up its non-district schedule with a 31-7 loss to Southlake Carroll.  RB Javien Toviano had a TD run for Martin.  Arlington got 300 total yards and 3 TDs from QB Ryley Zalusky in a 49-35 loss to Mesquite.

ARLINGTON BOWIE (1-3, 0-0) at SOUTH GRAND PRAIRIE (3-1, 0-0) - 8-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Bowie made the long trip to the Permian Basin last week and got to play less than a half of football for their trouble.  Bowie took a 29-0 loss to Midland Legacy in a game called late in the first half due to weather.  SGP is on a three-game win streak.  They got 106 yards and 4 TDs from RB A.J. Newberry in a 35-6 win over Dallas Skyline.

GRAND PRAIRIE (1-3, 0-0) at ARLINGTON SAM HOUSTON (3-1, 0-0) - 8-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Grand Prairie looks to snap a three-game slide.  They fell to Abilene last week, 35-28.  Gophers QB Savion Red ran for 137 yards and two scores.  Sam Houston has won its last three.  They got three TD passes from QB Justin Tone in a 24-21 victory over Keller Central.

ARLINGTON LAMAR (0-4, 0-0) - OFF

Lamar lost to Prosper last week, 35-7.

GARLAND (4-0, 1-0) at GARLAND NAAMAN FOREST (1-0, 1-0) - 7 p.m. Friday

Garland continued its red-hot start last week with a 48-0 win over Wylie in the district opener.  QB Cergio Perez threw for 349 yards and accounted for five TDs.  Garland is averaging 51.8 ppg this season, while allowing just 9.3 ppg.  Despite canceling its first three games due to COVID, Naaman Forest jumped right into district play with a 40-14 win over North Garland in their district opener.  WR Jaden Flores had a monster game, catching nine passes for 234 yards and 3 TDs.

SACHSE (2-2, 1-0) at ROWLETT (1-3, 1-0) - 7 p.m. Friday

Sachse started 9-6A play with a 56-27 win over Garland Lakeview Centennial.  QB Alex Orji rolled up 402 total yards and had a hand in all eight Sachse touchdowns.  Rowlett got its first win of the year, beating South Garland, 50-0.  Rowlett posted half-a-hundred last week after scoring 38 total points in its first three games.  QB James Okolo had 398 total yards last week.

NORTH GARLAND (3-1, 0-1) at GARLAND LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL (3-1, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Thursday

North Garland fell to Naaman Forest last week, 40-14.  QB Godspower Nuawuike had a pair of touchdown passes in the loss.  Lakeview Centennial lost to Sachse, 56-27.  RB Zechariah Dunston found the end zone twice last week.

SOUTH GARLAND (0-4, 0-1) at WYLIE (0-4, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Both these teams are hungry for their first win of the season.  After last week's 50-0 loss to Rowlett in the district opener, South Garland is allowing 58.5 ppg this season.  Wylie dropped its 9-6A opener to 4-0 Garland, 48-0.  The Pirates are allowing 42.0 ppg this year.

DALLAS SKYLINE (0-4, 0-0) at MESQUITE (2-2, 0-0) - 10-6A OPENER, 7:30 p.m. Friday

Skyline looks for a fresh start after remaining winless with a 35-6 loss to South Grand Prairie.  QB Trey Arroyo was injured in the first half last week.  Skyline is averaging 13.8 ppg this season.  Mesquite has won two straight after last week's 49-35 win over Arlington.  Skeeters RB Anthony Roberts rushed for 142 yards and 3 TDs.

MESQUITE HORN (0-3, 0-0) at NORTH MESQUITE (1-3, 0-0) - 10-6A OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Horn comes off a 34-26 loss at 5A Tyler.  Calvin Wright blocked two field goal attempts last week for the Jags.  North Mesquite has dropped three in a row since winning its opener.  That includes last week's 44-10 loss to 4-0 Keller.  QB Luke Seder passed for 217 yards and a TD.

6A #12 ROCKWALL (3-1, 0-0) at 6A #8 ROCKWALL-HEATH (3-1, 0-0) - 10-6A OPENER, 7:30 p.m. Friday

This is probably Week Five's most intriguing area matchup.  Considering that they have to turn around and play the district opener against a huge rival coming off last week's shocking 52-31 loss to Highland Park, how does Rockwall respond?  Rockwall's high-powered offense had the ball for only 14 minutes last week against the Scots.  Rockwall-Heath hopes to deal their rival a second straight loss.  Heath beat 5A McKinney North last week, 70-35.  In just a half of action, QB Josh Hoover threw for 265 yards and 3 TDs as Rockwall-Heath built a 49-0 halftime lead.  Rockwall-Heath's only loss is to Southlake Carroll.

WACO (0-4, 0-1) at CEDAR HILL (2-2, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Waco fell to Mansfield in the district opener, 34-28.  Cedar Hill opened 11-6A play with a 38-20 win over Mansfield Lake Ridge.  QB Cedric Harden, Jr., ran for three scores and threw for one.

DeSOTO (2-2, 0-1) at MANSFIELD (3-1, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

After jumping to an early lead over Duncanville, DeSoto went down by a 42-21 count.  Eagles QB Matt Allen has been rock solid.  He passed for three more TDs last week.  Mansfield opened district play with a 34-28 win over Waco.  Tigers QB Sergio Kennedy accounted for three TDs.

HEWITT MIDWAY (0-4, 0-1) at 6A #5 DUNCANVILLE (2-1, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Midway continues to search for answers after opening district play with a 24-21 loss to Waxahachie.  Midway's first four opponents are a combined 12-4, and things don't get any easier with this week's trip to Duncanville, which gave HC Reginald Samples his 300th career victory last week in a 42-21 win over DeSoto.  Samples is the first Black coach in Texas HS Football history to reach that milestone.

MANSFIELD LAKE RIDGE (0-4, 0-1) at WAXAHACHIE (3-1, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Lake Ridge opened 11-6A competition with a 38-20 loss to Cedar Hill.  QB Wesley Smith threw for 2 TDs.  After reaching the postseason last year, Waxahachie got off on the good foot in district play, as they claimed a 24-21 win over Hewitt Midway.  RB Iverson Young rushed for 87 yards and scored the game-winning TD on a seven-yard run late in the game.

GRANBURY (3-1, 1-0) at ABILENE COOPER (2-2, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Granbury has won its last three after last week's 49-28 victory over Crowley.  Abilene Cooper opened district play with a 33-21 loss to Justin Northwest.

AZLE (3-1, 1-0) at SAGINAW (1-3, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Azle's Hornets have won their last three.  They beat Arlington Heights last week, 36-13.  Saginaw looks to break a three-game losing streak after falling to FW Brewer, 66-20.

FORT WORTH BREWER (3-1, 1-0) at CROWLEY (0-4, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Brewer rolled over Saginaw in the district opener, 66-20.  Crowley fell to Granbury, 49-28.

JUSTIN NORTHWEST (2-2, 1-0) at FORT WORTH ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (1-3, 0-1) - 11 a.m. Saturday

Northwest grabbed a big district win right off the bat with their 33-21 victory over Abilene Cooper.  WR Joseph Rivas had six receptions for 80 yards and 3 TDs.  Arlington Heights has lost three straight after falling to Azle, 36-13.

BURLESON CENTENNIAL (1-2, 0-0) at MANSFIELD SUMMIT (1-2, 0-0) - 4-5A-1 OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.

RICHLAND (3-0, 0-0) at 5AD1 #7 COLLEYVILLE HERITAGE (2-1, 0-0) - 4-5A-1 OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.  This district opener could go a long way toward deciding the eventual 4-5A-1 champion.

MANSFIELD LEGACY (0-3, 0-0) at RED OAK (0-3, 0-0) - 4-5A-1 OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.

MIDLOTHIAN (1-2, 0-0) at BIRDVILLE (2-1, 0-0) - 4-5A-1 OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams were off last week.

DENTON (0-4, 0-2) at FRISCO HERITAGE (2-2, 0-2) - 7 p.m. Friday

Denton fell to Denton Ryan last week, 55-28.  RB Coco Brown rushed for 96 yards and a score.  Heritage has dropped its last two, including last week's 35-25 loss to Frisco Reedy.  QB Easton Swetnam threw for 314 yards and added a TD on the ground for Heritage.

FRISCO WAKELAND (3-0, 2-0) at 5AD1 #1 DENTON RYAN (3-1, 2-0) - 7 p.m. Thursday

This will be the first real test for Wakeland, as their first three opponents have a combined record of 1-9.  They rolled over The Colony last week, 49-13.  Denton Ryan defeated Denton, 55-28.  RB Kalib Hicks ran for 2 TDs.

FRISCO CENTENNIAL (0-3, 0-1) at THE COLONY (1-3, 1-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Centennial returns from a bye week.  The Colony lost to Frisco Wakeland, 49-13.  RB Kamden Wesley ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

FRISCO REEDY (1-3, 1-1) at FRISCO INDEPENDENCE (1-2, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Reedy is coming off its first win of the year, a 35-25 victory over Frisco Heritage.  RB Aaron Daniels ran for 119 yards and 3 TDs.  Independence fell to Frisco Lone Star, 38-21, and has lost its last two.

5AD1 #8 FRISCO LONE STAR (3-1, 2-0) - OFF

Lone Star defeated Frisco Independence, 38-21.

CARROLLTON NEWMAN SMITH (1-3, 0-2) at DALLAS MOLINA (1-3, 1-1) - 7 p.m. Thursday

Newman Smith looks to bounce back from a 56-7 loss to Lancaster.  WR Ky'len Woods had four receptions for 102 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown.  Molina got 147 yards and 2 TDs from RB Terrence Reed in a 49-12 win over Dallas Samuell.

DALLAS SAMUELL (0-4, 0-2) at CARROLLTON R.L. TURNER (1-3, 0-2) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Samuell fell to Dallas Molina, 49-12.  QB Xzavion Beard threw for two touchdowns.  R.L. Turner was held to 40 total yards in a 64-0 loss to Dallas W.T. White.

DALLAS BRYAN ADAMS (3-0, 1-0) at LANCASTER (3-1, 2-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Bryan Adams was off last week.  Lancaster defeated Carrollton Newman Smith, 56-7, for its third straight victory.  The Tigers have allowed seven total points in their last three games.  Lancaster QB Jaquavius Pipkin threw for 223 yards and 4 TDs last week.

DALLAS W.T. WHITE (3-1, 2-0) at DALLAS WOODROW WILSON (2-1, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

W.T. White has won three straight after last week's 64-0 romp over R.L. Turner.  QB Jaydyn Sisk tossed four TD passes in the victory.  Woodrow also pitched a shutout last week in a 53-0 win over Dallas Sunset.  RB Francisco Nava ran for 98 yards and two scores.

DALLAS SUNSET (3-1, 1-1) - OFF

After posting its first 3-0 start in a couple of decades, Sunset took its first loss last week, 53-0, to Woodrow Wilson.  Sunset QB Johnie Mendoza was held to 101 yards passing.  Still, Sunset figures to be a playoff contender in 6-5A-1.  They last won three games in an entire season in 2004.

5AD1 #3 HIGHLAND PARK (3-1, 0-0) - OFF

The Scots get a week off after stunning state-ranked 6A Rockwall, 52-31.  Highland Park busted open a 31-31 game with a 21-0 flurry that proved to be the knockout blow.  After a pick-six in the first half gave Rockwall a 21-7 lead, Highland Park Sr. John Rutledge gave the Scots new life with an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

5AD1 #6 LONGVIEW (3-1, 0-0) at WEST MESQUITE (2-2, 0-0) - 7-5A-1 OPENER, 7 p.m. Thursday

Longview struck a blow for the State of Texas last week, ending the 32-game win streak of Arkansas power Bryant High, 24-21.  Longview has won their last week, and five-star WR Jalen Hale is worth the price of admission.  West Mesquite lost to Keller Timber Creek last week, 40-35.  QB Craig Dale threw for three touchdowns.

McKINNEY NORTH (1-3, 0-0) at TYLER (2-2, 0-0) - 7-5A-1 OPENER, 7:30 p.m. Friday

McKinney North is on a three-game slide after last week's 70-35 loss to Rockwall-Heath.  North RB Jadan Smith ran for 208 yards and a score.  Tyler has won its last two, including last week's 34-26 victory over 6A Mesquite Horn.  Tyler WR Montrell Wade had six receptions for 111 yards and 2 TDs.

GRAPEVINE (1-2, 0-0) at CARROLLTON CREEKVIEW (1-2, 0-0) - 4-5A-2 OPENER, 7 p.m. Thursday

Both teams were off last week.

FORT WORTH SOUTH HILLS (0-2, 0-0) at FORT WORTH NORTH SIDE (2-1, 0-0) - 4-5A-2 OPENER, 7 p.m. Thursday

Both teams were off last week.

FORT WORTH WYATT (1-2, 0-0) at FORT WORTH POLY (1-2, 0-0) - 4-5A-2 OPENER, 7 p.m. Friday

Everman defeated Mansfield Timberview, 35-33, for its second straight win.  QB Jarion Basped tossed four TD passes.  Aledo opened district play with a 56-14 win over Burleson.  Bearcats S Taylon Kessler ran back an interception 99 yards for a TD.  Aledo has now won 97 consecutive district games in a streak that dates back to Oct. 2007.

ARLINGTON SEGUIN (2-1, 1-0) at BURLESON (2-2, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Arlington Seguin opened district play with an impressive 69-28 win over Cleburne.  It's been an offensive explosion for Seguin the last two weeks, as they have rolled up a total of 137 points.  QB X'avion Brice was among three 100-yard rushers in the victory over Cleburne.  Burleson looks to snap a two-game losing streak.  They fell to Aledo last week, 56-14.

CLEBURNE (2-2, 0-1) at WACO UNIVERSITY (0-4, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Both teams look to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole in district play.  Cleburne comes off a 69-28 loss to Arlington Seguin.  RB Eli Martinez ran for 134 yards and a TD.  Waco University lost to Joshua, 45-27.

JOSHUA (3-1, 1-0) at MANSFIELD TIMBERVIEW (1-3, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Thursday

Joshua opened 5-5A-2 play with a 45-27 victory over Waco University.  Timberview got 97 yards and two scores from RB Jarvis Reed in a 35-33 loss to Everman.

Adamson returns to play after a week off.  Kimball has won two straight to open district play.  They held on for a 20-14 win over Seagoville last week.  Kimball WR Kyron Henderson had six receptions for 161 yards and 2 TDs, including the game-winner.

DALLAS CONRAD (2-2, 1-1) at DALLAS SPRUCE (1-3, 0-2) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Conrad rolled to a 46-3 win over Thomas Jefferson last week.  QB Chris Legard accounted for four touchdowns.  Spruce has been dealt a tough hand by COVID-19.  They were unable to play the last two weeks, and under current Dallas ISD rules, Spruce had to forfeit its first two scheduled district games.  That includes last week's recorded loss to Mesquite Poteet.

MESQUITE POTEET (2-2, 2-0) at DALLAS HILLCREST (2-1, 0-1) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Poteet comes off an unusual week that saw them get credit for one win, while losing a game on the field.  Poteet was awarded a 17-0 forfeit victory over Dallas Spruce.  After that game was called off, Poteet strung together a non-district matchup with 6A Odessa Permian.  Despite 111 yards and a score from RB Joey Shaw, the Pirates fell to MOJO, 49-14.  Hillcrest opened district play with a 63-7 loss to South Oak Cliff.

SEAGOVILLE (3-1, 1-1) at DALLAS JEFFERSON (0-3, 0-2) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Seagoville comes off a tough 20-14 loss to Dallas Kimball.  Jefferson fell to Dallas Conrad, 46-3.

5AD2 #7 SOUTH OAK CLIFF (2-1, 2-0) - OFF

SOC goes into its bye week in a first-place tie with Kimball and Poteet.  The Golden Bears walloped Hillcrest last week, 63-7.  SOC QB Kevin Henry-Jennings threw for 243 yards and 5 TDs on just eight completions.

PROSPER ROCK HILL (2-2, 1-1) at DENISON (2-1, 0-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

Rock Hill got a monster game from RB Donovan Shannon (244 yards, 5 TDs) in last week's 42-34 win over Princeton.  Denison lost to Lucas Lovejoy, 49-7.

FRISCO (3-0, 1-0) at FRISCO LEBANON TRAIL (1-3, 0-2) - 7 p.m. Friday

Frisco returns after a bye week.  Lebanon Trail comes off a 56-32 loss to Lake Dallas.  QB Gregory Hatley had 315 total yards and 4 TDs in the defeat.

LAKE DALLAS (3-1, 1-1) at FRISCO LIBERTY (4-0, 2-0) - 7 p.m. Thursday

Lake Dallas QB Brendan Sorsby was spectactular in last week's 56-32 win over Frisco Lebanon Trail.  Sorsby had a hand in all eight TDs, including five through the air.  He will square off this week with Liberty QB Keldric Luster, who has arguably been the area's best 5A player over the first month of the season.  Luster led Frisco Liberty to a 56-38 win over Frisco Memorial, running for 227 yards and 5 TDs.  He also threw for a score.

FRISCO MEMORIAL (3-1, 1-1) at PRINCETON (2-2, 0-2) - 7 p.m. Friday

Memorial QB Ethan Lollar had 2 TD passes and ran for two scores in last week's 56-38 loss to Frisco Liberty.  District 7-5A-2 is loaded with excellent quarterbacks.  Princeton's Isaiah Sadler threw for 334 yards and 4 TDs in a 42-34 loss to Prosper Rock Hill.

5AD2 #3 LUCAS LOVEJOY (4-0, 2-0) - OFF

Lovejoy's opponents can breathe a sigh of relief this week, as they are on a bye.  Soph. QB Alexander Franklin added two more TD passes in last week's 49-7 rout of Denison.  Franklin has thrown for 16 scores this season.  Lovejoy is averaging 58.3 ppg, while allowing just 12.3 per game.

CORSICANA (3-1, 0-1) at FORNEY (2-2, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Unbeaten Royse City handed Corsicana its first loss last week, 41-21.  Corsicana QB Adrian Baston threw for a TD and ran for a score.  Forney survived a defensive battle with North Forney in the district opener, 15-7.  The Jackrabbits allowed 141 total yards and came up with two key interceptions.

NORTH FORNEY (1-3, 0-1) at CRANDALL (3-1, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

North Forney is on a three-game losing streak after last week's 15-7 loss to Forney.  WR DeMarques Taylor had a touchdown catch in the loss.  Crandall got 3 TD receptions from WR Luke Moffitt in a 57-34 win over Sulphur Springs.

SULPHUR SPRINGS (0-4, 0-1) at 5AD2 #4 ENNIS (4-0, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Sulphur Springs remained winless with last week's 57-34 loss to Crandall.  The Sulphur Springs offense is showing signs of life.  They've run for more than 200 yards in each of the last two games.  Ennis opened 8-5A-2 play with a 28-0 win over Greenville.  Lions QB Jackson Gilkey passed for 208 yards and 2 TDs.

GREENVILLE (1-3, 0-1) at ROYSE CITY (4-0, 1-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Greenville looks for a clean slate after a 28-0 loss to Ennis.  Early indications are that Royse City and Crandall could be Ennis' biggest challengers in 8-5A-2 this season.  Royse City QB Kenneth Spring passed for 246 yards and three scores in a 41-21 win over Corsicana.

GLEN ROSE (3-1) at DECATUR (2-2) - 7 p.m. Friday

Decatur posted an impressive win over Graham last week, 37-14.

GAINESVILLE (0-4) at MINERAL WELLS (4-0) - 7 p.m. Friday

Mineral Wells stayed unbeaten with a 42-41 win over Sanger.

LAKE WORTH (4-0) at DALLAS PINKSTON (0-3) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

The Bullfrogs of Lake Worth preserved their unblemished record with a 55-6 win over Venus.  Pinkston lost to 3A Dallas Madison, 44-16.

4AD1 #9 SPRINGTOWN (4-0) at MIDLOTHIAN HERITAGE (3-1) - 7 p.m. Friday

This is a key game to watch involving two very good teams.  Springtown rolled over Godley last week, 52-20.  Midlothian Heritage took its first loss of the season, falling to Melissa, 48-28.

ALVARADO (0-4) at NORTH DALLAS (1-2) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Alvarado got 181 yards and a TD from RB Jayden Bridgewater in a 56-34 loss to 4-0 Kaufman.  North Dallas was victimized by a pair of pick-sixes in a 33-7 loss to Dallas Life Oak Cliff.

TEXARKANA LIBERTY-EYLAU (2-1) at WAXAHACHIE LIFE (1-3) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

Waxahachie Life lost to 4-0 Caddo Mills last week, 58-17.

Ranchview is on an 11-game losing streak after falling to Dallas Carter, 48-25.  Terrell tuned up for district play with a 27-14 win over Aubrey.

After an 0-2 start, Melissa seems to have found its stride.  The Cardinals have averaged 54.0 ppg in their last two games, including last week's 48-28 win over a strong Midlothian Heritage team.  Melissa QB Sam Fennegan passed for 390 yards and 4 TDs.  Paris was off last week.

Carter posted a 48-25 win over Carrollton Ranchview last week.  RB Edward Robinson rushed for 162 yards and a TD.  Sunnyvale lost to 3A Malakoff, 41-7.

Godley comes off a 52-20 loss to Springtown.  Lincoln was off last week.
