North Texas will find out in the coming weeks what teams will call the area home during the FIFA World Cup.

There are a number of sites the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee are promoting for national teams and FIFA to utilize as a home base during the 39-day event.

"We are confident in the bid process that our base camp options in North Texas put forth to FIFA and the national teams," Monica Paul, President of the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee said. "We believe in the opportunity our base camps still have to be selected."

Saudi Arabia was the first major team to announce where they will be this month and they decided on Austin which is not hosting a match.

North Texas should know over the next few weeks into March.

North Texas organizers are promoting a number of sites including TCU, SMU, Dallas Baptist University, UNT, Mansfield Stadium, the Cotton Bowl, and Toyota Stadium.

Dallas and Houston are hosting a number of matches with AT&T Stadium in Arlington hosting more than any other host city.
