A grinding multi-car fatal crash in Dallas has closed down a stretch of south-bound I-35 this morning.
Police say the collision was reported just before 2 a.m. and at least one of the cars rolled over, trapping occupants inside.
The wreckage was left strewn across the south-bound side of I-35E near Walnut Hill.
Dallas firefighters needed power tools to pry victims out of the tangled metal. At least one person has died.
As of 6 a.m. the south-bound lanes of I-35E remained closed.
