North Texas organizers have plenty of advice for international World Cup fans who are spending the next few weeks either in North Texas or other parts of the United States.

Organizers are hopeful fans who have never been to the area take advantage of taking everything in.

"You have these business hubs like Dallas, Austin, Houston, and then the unique cultures that exist in Fort Worth and the stockyards are amazing," FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said. "There's going to be a number of concerts around for people to come sample and see, the Rangers will be playing baseball, our museums are world class."

Hunt spoke at the Dallas Host City Media Center Grand Opening this week ahead of the first match.

He jokingly said that he has been public in the past about getting a Skinny Mambo Taxi at Mi Cocina.

On a more serious note, Hunt did talk about both the business and the fun sides of Texas.

"From a business standpoint, I think they need to go sample what Frisco is like, what Plano is like, what Dallas has to offer," Hunt said. "These communities are absolutely booming."

Hunt also is encouraging anyone here for the World Cup to take a stadium tour of AT&T Stadium in Arlington which during the World Cup is temporarily being called Dallas Stadium.

Nationally, it is estimated anywhere from five to seven million people will be in the United States for the World Cup events.
