Parents of students at Dallas' Woodrow Wilson High School are demanding more security after a shooting near the school earlier this week.
Some parents are saying the school district isn't doing enough to keep students safe.
According to Dallas ISD, Tuesday afternoon at dismissal at Woodrow Wilson High School, shots were fired outside of the school's football field according to NBCDFW.
"They're afraid to go to school. They're afraid to participate on sports teams because they have to practice in a park that is unsafe," said Robyn Schaub about her daughter's fears following the shooting.
Dallas ISD said no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
The parents said the schools are using a city park next to the school for athletics and the park is the center of crime problems in the neighborhood that started with fights, and have moved to multiple instances with guns.
