A three alarm fire in Parker County is now under control after an attack by firefighters from the Parker County Emergency Services Department, Weatherford, Azle, White Settlement and the Briar-Reno Fire Department.
Officials say the fire broke out Sunday near Aledo and Willow Park. Commanders quickly added a second, and then a third alarm to bring in more manpower and equipment to keep the fire from spreading.
By late Sunday afternoon, the fire was contained at around 65 acres. No structures were damaged and no livestock were killed.
Fire crews were kept on scene through the night to keep an eye out for hot spots.
