Four people were taken to the hospital after a pickup truck drove into a crowd of diners at a taco stand in Dallas’ Bishop Arts district Thursday evening. Dallas police arrested the driver at the scene.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. in the 300 block of West Davis Street, a busy stretch lined with restaurants and outdoor seating in the popular Oak Cliff neighborhood. Witnesses told FOX 4 News the driver backed up, stopped, then backed up again, striking several tables. Two patrons were seen trapped underneath the truck.

Dallas police responded to an officer assist call and determined a vehicle had driven into a crowd of people near the restaurant. Four individuals were transported to a hospital in stable condition. No fatalities were reported.

The driver was taken into custody at the scene. Police have not released the driver’s identity or any information about possible charges. The investigation remains ongoing.

Bishop Arts is a vibrant district known for its walkable streets, shops, and popular dining spots that draw large crowds in the evening. Outdoor seating is common along West Davis Street, making the area a frequent destination for locals and visitors.
