A small plane pilot is recovering after crash-landing her aircraft in Fort Worth Tuesday afternoon.
Reports say the pilot was practicing touch-and-go landings at Meacham Airport when her single-engine plane developed engine problems.
She tried to land on a side street near the airport but ended up coming down in a field where she clipped a tree which sheared off one wing of the aircraft.
Despite the serious damage, the plane came to rest upright and the pilot was able to walk away. She was taken to the hospital to get checked out but her injuries were not severe.
