While Plano works to figure out how to handle short term rentals, the city has landed on a list as one of the top places in the country to rent.
Rent Cafe is a nationwide apartment search website and says the city of Plano in North Texas is the second best place in the country to rent.
Charleston, S.C. came in number one place to rent.
The website looked at metrics like quality of life, cost of living, and the local economy in determining rankings. It citied the Plano school district's reputation for strong academics which brings in families, and it's high job growth rate which has attracted large companies like Bank of America, Hewlett Packard, PepsiCo, JCPenney and FedEx.
Some other Texas cities landed in the top 10 including Round Rock, Austin, and Conroe, a Houston suburb.
Dallas came in at number 32, Fort Worth is 37.
